I was wondering if something was up here. Are the giants planning to split carries?

It is 1 preseason game. Starters rarely play much in the first game. The fact that Williams got so many carries should actually indicate that he is NOT a factor to take more than a couple touches a game in the early going.

If you need more evidence, go look at Spiller's line.

I hope so... Thats when the Giants have had most success recently, having a tandem... Bradshaw/Jacobs when healthy carried the team to the superbowl...

Hopefully andre williams can compliment jennings... 65%-35%

i think it will be jennings job, but williams produces, and i think he will, hes gonne get to 50/50 split

Its not regarding pre-season. On this other forum(non fantasy) this giants fan who is famously hated on there(and on ESPN) has been talking up David Wilson and Andre Williams all training camp and not giving any mention at all to Jennings. It just made me wonder if there is an RBBC happening. Today he posts that the two RBs will split carries.

They had a tandem in their struggling years. In other words, no giants back is worth drafting as a rb2.

You can't put too much stock in RBBC. It happens nearly everywhere. Jennings was never going to be a 300 carry guy, so an RBBC was kind of assumed anyway. Williams is a rookie on Tom Coughlin's football team. He will have to be outstanding in all phases, to be on the field more than Jennings.
