In a way yes but I'm not sure why it came up. Had Hardy been sitting court side and got an ovation I can see it but people always boo someone who jilted them during free agency. Hell, Mark Texiera gets booed in Baltimore despite never being on that team and Baltimore never offered him a contract.

I remember with the current Boston Celtics PG -- Isaiah Thomas -- was booed when he was an almost unknown rookie playing about 15 minutes / game -- when the Kings visited Madison Square Garden. He was booed just because he shares a name with the guy who ruined the Knicks.
