The first elim or two are based on personality, then they are based on weakness until the merge. Once the merge comes, it is based on alliances (and strength).

If he can avoid the first few elims, he should make the merge, then it is all dependent on the alliance he is in.

Also, as much of a psychopath that Russell was/is, he was still a master player. Dude was hated, but was still able to put himself in positions to advance.


Side note...

The Hantz family is a special type of crazy. All three that have competed in "competitive" reality TV shows have shown to be extremely coo-coo for coco puffs.
