Up 1-0 after the win last night.

We're playing pretty damn good ball lately, and the big bats are REALLY starting to come around. Happ with his second halfway decent start. He pitched better last week, but the fact he goes 5+ and hasn't really been lit up is winning.

and wtf is up with Morrow? Shouldn't he be back in the rotation by now.

I wanna see that doucher get at least 25 or so starts this year, so we know what the hell we're gonna do with him going forward.

Just need to send Morrow packing. At this point, there honestly isn't a spot for him in the rotation. Considering he was garbage before the injury, garbage when he played last year, and has yet another injury issue...would you boot Buehrle, Dickey, Hutch, or Happ. I'd toss McGowan a bone I guess.

Morrow needs to join Ricky Romero in Buffalo and earn his way back up here.

Oh, Jays up 7-2 in the 2nd. A sweep in Fenway??? Buehrle doesn't look good, but that's quite an early cushion.

Buehrle settled down now. 6 IP and 2 ER. Another quality start unless he gets blown up in the 7th or what have you....

I agree with you johnson. I'd almost rather see McGowan or Happ instead of Morrow at this point.

What ever happened to Ricky Romero? Is he still with our AA club?

Ricky Romero gave up NINE WALKS in 2.2 innings in his last start in Buffalo. Needless to say, he has not gotten a hold of his control issues and we probably won't be seeing him soon.

Go Jays! First place!

Buehrle with another great start. Been a total stud except that one start.

Now we're hitting the ball too! Looking good right now.

No shit? That was the last time.. at any time in the season?! I'm floored.

Gotta give this team credit though.. over the years I've noticed that when the A.L. East was the cream of the crop in the AL the Blue Jays were always good enough to hover around the .500 mark, if not above. No one noticed, but when the Rays, Red Sox and Yankees were tearing it up, the Jays weren't exactly the bums that some other teams in other divisions were. I can't remember a "bottomed out" season from them, to be honest.

It's good for every team in the division to get that kick in the shins in this division and be reminded that, hey, the Jays aren't just gonna lay down and forfeit the division crown. If the opportunity is there, they'll pounce and take it.

This late into any given season the last 15 years, usually by now they're buried in 4-5th place.

It's refreshing to see a bottom feeder play well for once. Let's see if they can keep it up..

Hard to compete against teams with bottom-less pockets. I think it's completely fucked the Yanks aren't gives some sort of cap. It's totally illogical in terms of the MLB having an even/fair playing field.

You can't remember a "bottomed-out" bad season for the Jays? Last year was pretty recent.

Refuse to take solace in the Jays being around .500 while the Rays succeeded. While it's hard to compete with deep pockets, the Rays did it regularly. The Jays didn't. IT's an excuse...but not enough of one.

I recall the Jays doing this not that long ago so while I'm excited they are in first place...they were at the top of the division well into the all-star break a few years back and the wheels fell off. I'm not going to be negative, but part of me is just waiting for that to happen. My hope is the lineup is so dangerous that if the bats keep blowing everyone up, it could weather a rough patch with the rotation.

Both. I'm from Colorado, but I lived with my grandparents in Toronto from age 11-16. The Jays were really good then, and I guess you could say that's when I jumped on the wagon. I grew to love baseball as alot of boys do during that age and went to tons of games with my grandpa. I've been an avid fan since and have followed them closely through the years.

Just the Jays though.

The rest of my sports allegiance lies strictly with my Colorado teams :suds:

Haha.....good question.

Toronto. Colorado didn't have a team until 1993, and I started following the Jays probably around 1989-90, so they were my ONLY baseball team and I was pretty much instantly a fan. John Olerud and Roberto Alomar were my fav players, and I was big Tom Henke fan too.

Won again last night against TB. 8 straight wins!

Well then, I think it's only fair you put the Jays logo over the Rockies under your avatar.

Show your true pride brother! :suds:
