The Redskins were 15th in yards given up and 16th in points given up. We would have killed for that last year.

Lets look at some other teams. Everybody here loves Minnesota. :D:noidea: The gave up 18 less points than the Redskins (1.1 per game) and 700 yards less (40+ yards per game)

KC gave up 62 more points and 800 yards.

Just saying ….

Which is why it was most unfortunate that we were 29th in points scored. That said, I have a question.

Why does everyone always say we need to get faster? Not that that would be a bad thing, cuz I'd be with that. But is anyone else way more than tired of seeing a Redskins defender or 2 enage a pass catcher or ball carrier 2, 3, 4 yards from the first down marker and the pass catcher or ball carrier with far too much regvularity ends up muscling his way to a first down.

I was gonna watch a few Skins games yesterday that are still on the dvr I couldn't make ity to halftime of the Tenn game. If getting dragged, ran over, faked out, or just plain clownwd wered stats. We'd have a gang of first team all pros all throughout our defense.

We are slow at key positions . Mason is just slow and can’t cover . My experiences tell me that guys who play off Wrs are Afraid to get beat deep which tells me they are slow . I don’t think manusky designs defenses that have dbs playing off 7 yards when you need 3 for a first down

With Gruden & Co back I expect the following...
Another 7-9 season
Major injuries
Ineffective offense
An avg defense that cannot get off the field
Poor ST
Top of league in penalties (even in weeks 11-16)
Poor tackling defense
Poor clock management
Poor play during all prime time games

Why should anything change? Same substance, same results. Gruden has proven it!!!

well gruden has been given my standard 5 years and he has elevated the team from doormats to a team that hovers around 500
he has to take that next step but in truth he has had plenty of time

I was wondering , exactly how many Super Bowls did Alex lead anyone ? NCAA titles ?

Yeah Hannibal was a great leader until he ran into Scipio

I was familiar with Alex’s success at Utah. An impressive record of 21-1 as a starter and leading his team to an undefeated season in 2004.

But I didn’t know his achievements in High School. Alex was 25-1 as the starting QB leading his team to 2 CIF Championships…and was the Class President his Senior year.

I find it impossible to believe that you as a retired military man, could still deny the intangibles and leadership AS brings to this team.

You mean those leadership skills that Andy Reid or San Fran thought was so valuable? If he as the ability to lift teams to do more than they should through his just being in the huddle, then why did they dump him?

to lead the redskins to a nfce championship, which Alex was doing before being injured.
Absolutely not. He was the starting point for the collapse vs the Texans and his lack of ability to beat winning teams

And both teams apparently got better leaders when he left.

Let's get one thing straight: the Redskins didn't just let McVay walk. He was the QB coach & he got a HC opportunity. To think that the Redskins or any team would fire their HC coming off a div title & playoff appearance to keep the QB coach is living in revisionist history.

Real question is...is he capable as HC? How long do you give him, another 5 years?
