With Dalton and Palmer being more of classic pocket passers vs. runnning/scrambling type QB during Gruden's tenure, you have to wonder if the Redskins are going to possibly use RG3 as trade bait and go with Cousins at QB.

RG3 can be the best pure passer in the league if he is given even a hint of help. He has the talent that he doesn't need to run.

What makes you say that? He's never been a pure pocket passer and he hasn't looked comfortable in the NFL in anything but a zone read scheme. RGIII is a phenomenal athlete with a great arm and good feel for the game. I'm not sure though that he would be amongst the league's best from the pocket.

He has all the tools. The issue this year wasn't a change in scheme; it was severe regression from the rest of his team. He had no help.

That's something he'll need to get used to if he plans to play for the Redskins.

If they don't build anything when his contract runs out, he should get the fuck out of there.

The regression was also in RGIII.

He clearly was not ready to return to start the season, and he didn't look good.

Having all the tools and putting it all together are two different things. A lot of guys have the tools, but the question is, can they put it together enough to take advantage of what they are given.

The jury is still out.

You put Tom Brady or Peyton on that team and they're sub-500. That team was a fucking joke and so was its coach. No one could make that team successful.

Shanny made Brian Griese look good for a year and Jake Plummer look good for several years. He has his flaws as a coach and that roster was crap, but RGIII still has a long way to go.

The good news is that in 3 years both Zimmer and Gruden will be available if we need coordinators.

Gruden will not be able to succeed in Washington as long as the owner is there. The guy can't keep his hands off the team and screws over the coach too much. It's been the same problem since he bought the team. He has run it into the ground.

Brian griese and jake Plummer were decent despite Shanahan, not because of him. They were also on much better teams.

If Peyton was on that roster his numbers wouldn't be significantly better than Griffin's. There's no help there. If you disband Washington tomorrow, griffin, Garcon, and Morris get picked up. Most of the rest don't even make the bottom of most team's rosters.

It's looking more and more likely.... Zimmer is either going to get the Vikes job or no job at all.

I hate it for us and I hate it for him. I don't think it's a good situation.

Zimmer worked miracles with the defense here. I'm sure he'll get the most out of whatever talent's on their roster on that side of the ball.

The offense has some nice pieces. They obviously need a QB though. Maybe one slides to them at 8
