I'm not a big ratings or numbers guy. Most of that is okay but watching guys play in tough situations and how they perform tells me more. Cutler has been given a bad rap, mostly because of leaving that one game when he got hurt and stood on the sideline. It will always be the thing that those who hate the guy fall back on to discredit him. I think he is an extremely under-rated player who has been pretty good in one of the worst QB circumstances we have ever seen. Chicago is where QB's go to die and has been for a very long time. Cutler has hung in there and took more licks than any guy I've ever seen. He never called out Lovie Smith for the ineptitude and revolving door at OC. He never trashed the O-line that was widely considered the worst in football. He just went out and won more often than lost. He's in about the same place as Romo in that he needs to get to the big game and win or the critics will continue to dog him. The difference is that Romo has had a lot more around him to work with. He's not in the elite class yet but he could get there if he can get a SB win. The talent is pretty undeniable.

Chiefs are 3-0

Alex Smith is doing just fine, and I wouldn't be a bit surprised, if he finished the season, statistically better than Kap.

This is all true, but I can tell you as an Alex Smith expert that he's not nearly as good as Kaepernick. He's the kiss of death for a team. Just good enough to beat mediocre teams; incapable of winning big games (with rare exceptions).

He has OWNED the 4th quarter the first 3 weeks. CLUTCH. Jay is off to the best start of his career and has won me over again. I loved how he ran over the safety last night. 99% of QB's slide in that spot. I like a QB that plays like a MAN rather than a women. I was one of Cutlers biggest critic the last few years but now it is clear he has matured and is finally realizing his potential. I think I'll have to change my name from AmericanTebowFan to AmericanCutlerFan. God Bless...
I'm sorry man. But I can't even take this quote seriously.

I was at the game in SF last year, against the Bears, where Kap got the nod. I knew he was gonna light us up, and was hoping for Smith all week, leading up to it...just felt we stood a better chance against Smith. I think I was right. Kids talented, time will tell if he's a student as well. He just needs to get back to work, forget about the limelight, and it'll work itself out.

Smith's a game manager...that's bout it. Ya better have a great team around him, cuz it's doubtful he'll win it himself.
