If you are the best worker at your company, but live comfortably at your current wage, are you not still upset if lesser employees in your department make substantially more than you? Byrd is a pro-bowl safety, and aiming low is not how free agency deals should start from the players' side.

The Bills have been notorious for making terrible salary decisions. Let quality guys go at OL, LB, DB only to overspend on freaking Fitzpatrick and Kelsay. Until they better learn to keep the quality players they develop, they will never be a winning team.

I agree the front office has made a plethora of mistakes, but that should have nothing to do with coming to work for 7 million dollars.... and why, because there's 3 safeties that make more money than him? Gimme a break. I've seen Byrd make plenty of mistakes in the defensive back field, but I'm sure he doesn't offer money back to the team when Deion Branch beats him down the middle. Sure he's good for a few picks, but he's not one of the elite just yet, so he certainly shouldn't be asking to be paid as if he is. I'm sure the Bills offered him something in the top 6 range, so are you saying how dare they not offer top two, or the top??

And now, after holding out and missing important camp workouts and such, because he couldn't put a smile on for 7 million dollars, he got hurt, .............and I hope it's of the career ending variety.
