Fox hit 2 more homeruns for Reading tonight. He now has 13 Homers and 39 Runs batted in. All this with limited at bats. His average is up to .343. Playing in the Mexican League prior to Reading he was banging there too. Probably means nothing to Amaro but Chris Coste made it to the Phillies when he was in his thirties. Projected stats for a full season of Fox trotting around the bases would be 52 Homeruns and 156 Runs batted in. Nothing to sneeze at!

The title of this thread is a tad disturbing.

Sorry to disappoint you guys, but he was referring to Fox's success at the plate in AA. Even if he is gay, don't flatter yourselves, he's out of your league.
Come to think of it, maybe that's why he hasn't been promoted to the majors-Amaro is not prepared for the distraction

Are there any openly gay players in the MLB anyway?

No one while they were playing but Dan Patrick or someone was talking about a guy who wrote a book after the fact. I think he was an outfielder for the Orioles. It was a while back too, like the 70's( and it wasn't Al Bumbry.)

I'd Google it but I don't want Google to think I'm a homophobe

Yeah.... A quick glance at the first post cleared that up. Doesn't stop us from poking fun, though.

There was a guy that was a Dodgers and A's outfielder, came out after the fact, although his teammates always knew. Had an issue with drugs, and ended up dying of AIDS.

Glenn Burke.

Why is Walter White not involved in this thread? I figured by now he'd be pointing out that Fox played 2 years on the Orioles

Yeah, that's the guy. I was confusing him Paul Blair, who was with the Orioles and probably wasn't gay.
