The madness of March is here! Shortly, the conference tournaments will begin, which WILL result in bubble teams floating up or getting popped.
And here's a place where we can sit back and watch it all unfold! (By the way, this is subject to change, but I see a Virginia vs. Michigan State national title game in April)

Who's in or out? A quick recap

The last 2 weeks of the CBB regular season will be crazy. But before we dive head-first into it, here's the full list of teams that are IN the NCAA's, who still has work to do, and who's already OUT (at least in my opinion).

Power 7 Conferences:

American:
IN:
Wichita State, Cincinnati, Houston
Almost there!: Tulsa
Needs to work harder: Memphis, UCF
OUT: UConn

ACC:
IN:
Duke, Virginia, North Carolina, Clemson, Virginia Tech
Almost there!: Florida State, NC State, Miami
Needs to work harder: Syracuse, Louisville
OUT: Notre Dame

Big 12:
IN:
Kansas, Texas Tech, West Virginia, Kansas State
Needs to work harder: Oklahoma, TCU, Texas, Baylor

Big 10:
IN:
Michigan State, Ohio State, Purdue, Michigan
Almost there!: Nebraska
Needs to work harder: Penn State, Maryland
OUT: Indiana, Northwestern

Big East:
IN:
Villanova, Xavier
Almost there!: Seton Hall, Butler, Providence, Creighton
OUT: Marquette

PAC-12:
IN:
Arizona
Almost there!: USC, UCLA, Arizona State
Needs to work harder: Washington, Utah

SEC:
IN:
Tennessee, Auburn
Almost there!: Kentucky, Mississippi State, Arkansas, Missouri, Florida
Needs to work harder: Alabama, Texas A&M

More to come...

Who's in or out? (Part 2)

And now, let's see if any stragglers from the other conferences will break into the dance:

Atlantic 10:
IN:
Rhode Island
Almost there!: St. Bonaventure
OUT: VCU, Davidson

CAA:
Needs to work harder:
Charleston

Conference USA:
Almost there!:
Middle Tennessee
Needs to work harder: Old Dominion

Missouri Valley:
Needs to work harder:
Loyola-Chicago

Mountain West:
IN:
Nevada
Almost there!: Boise State
Needs to work harder: Fresno State
OUT: UNLV

Sun Belt:
Needs to work harder:
UL-Lafayette

WCC:
IN:
Gonzaga, Saint Mary's
Needs to work harder: BYU

Of course, all this is subject to change. I heard that they'll be big games in the Summit and PAC-12 tonight...

I agree with most but here's where I will disagree:

I think the only teams that make it from the American are Wichita State, Cincinnati and Houston, barring any other team winning the tourney.

For the ACC, only thing I would disagree with is that Florida State is almost there. I feel like they are in right now. Their next 2 games will be defining games. If they beat NC State and Clemson, I feel like they are a lock regardless of their performance in the ACC tournament.

SEC: I think the committee puts Kentucky in the tournament regardless of the rest of their regular season and their performance in the SEC tournament. I agree with your opinion but I think that Kentucky gets in just because of their name and what the Kentucky program brings to the NCAA tournament.

For the MVC, I feel like Loyola-Chicago is in even if they lose the MVC tournament. I can't see them not making it with only 6 losses. I know their resume isn't strong at all, but I think this year, 2 MVC teams might be in if Loyola-Chicago doesn't win the tournament.

An argument could be made for Boise State to be in right now, but I'm not gonna be the one to make that argument haha.

Dude, WVU is not in yet. A win over Texas Tech would probably put them over but right now they are not. No chance

February 24th (Games outside of the rankings)

Okay... So with Arizona basketball about to go up in flames (all thanks to this whole "wire-tap" thing), which major-league school will be the next to falter?

Sorry, but you'll have to go to another, more serious thread about this topic. For the smaller schools in D1, today's all about finishing up business before the tournaments begin. Here are the games to watch OUTSIDE the rankings: (All times are Eastern)

Providence @ Georgetown (12:00)
Seton Hall @ St. John's (12:00)
Baylor @ TCU (12:00)
Louisville @ Virginia Tech (1:00)

Boston College @ Miami (2:00)
Oklahoma State @ Texas (2:00)
Illinois State @ Loyola-Chicago (2:00)
USC @ Utah (2:30)
Georgia State @ UT-Arlington (5:15)
Arkansas @ Alabama (6:00)
Kansas State @ Oklahoma (6:00)
(If the Sooners can't come through in this one, I think they're gonna be OUT... something that looked impossible 4 weeks ago.)
Arkansas Pine-Bluff @ Grambling (6:30)
Harvard @ Penn (7:00)
Old Dominion @ Western Kentucky (7:00)
St. Bonaventure @ VCU (8:00)
Missouri @ Kentucky (8:15)

And by the way, Syracuse has not been named in that FBI report. Knock on wood...

Sunday, February 25th

Well, shoot. Looks like Kansas is gonna win yet another Big 12 regular-season title. It also looks like Creighton's in the NCAA's, Arizona will really miss Sean Miller when he gets fired, and "One Shining Moment" is on the way out. Crazy days in the world of basketball...

And all of that happened yesterday. As for today, well... (All times are Eastern)

Tulsa @ Cincinnati (12:00)
Michigan State @ Wisconsin (1:00)
Furman @ East Tennessee State (2:00)
Minnesota @ Purdue (4:00)
UCLA @ Colorado (4:00)
Game of the Day: Penn State @ Nebraska (5:15) (Nebraska can punch their ticket to the NCAA's with a win here.)
Florida State @ NC State (6:00)

2/25 recap (AKA: What we were watching while Roman Reigns punked out his critics... AGAIN)

Michigan State over Wisconsin 68-63 (The Spartans now has another Big-10 title... and maybe a #1 seed.)
Cincinnati over Tulsa 82-74
NC State over Florida State 92-72 (Something's telling me that NC State will be taking FSU's spot in the rankings shortly.)
New Mexico over UNLV 91-90
Colorado over UCLA 80-76
Nebraska over Penn State 76-64 (And right now, it looks like Nebraska is IN... and that Penn State is OUT.)
Manhattan over Quinnipiac 92-86 in 2-OT's
