Our linebacker situation does suck and said we needed to bring in a couple but they didn't JDR is behind in the times with spread offenses

The video shows HUGE holes in the zone, it shows a lack of pass rush. It shows LBers too deep, too shallow but the same can be said for the safeties. No pressure and the LBers (2) and the safeties are not playing well ... together or individually.

Note on the flat passes with two LBers lined up inside the tackles there is no way in hell the WTF LBers are going to get in the flat in time to cover. The peoples corner was great at attacking passes on the line of scrimmage.

Note 2: I will watch closer but there was little to no 5 man dlines on those videos.

I noticed no 5 man line too. I was looking for that. At this point I'm just looking for some type of answer as to why the defense is getting carved up.

Yeah ... I am going to watch even closer this weekend because in preseason or in the newspaper there was talk of using a 5 man line and with them only using 2 LBers I have spot checked but because I respect Baldy as an analyst I figured I was missing it.

Another thought, not on same thing. Jamin Davis in part was billed as good in pass coverage. Why not use him instead of Bostic on passing downs?

From what I could see it looks like they were running a 4 man front with two LB (Bostic and Holcomb). I would mind seeing what Davis and Landon could do in those roles. Just to see.

I'm sure JDR could break down why that wouldn't work and make me sound like the fan I am and not a coach, but what he is presently doing is not working.

Bostic should not be in there on 3rd and long. I can see Davis and Holcomb b/c they have speed. Actually Collins should be out of there on 3rd and long. His strength is run support and he blows coverages.

i am not worried about holcomb or davis . davis will get better as time goes on . hudson should see the field more

i am sorry to say this but bostic will still be on the field because he calls the defense
