UNCs AD is on the Selection Committee. Does that seem right? He was on it last year as well but still. Believe 4 year commitment

This bracket is NUTS!

Not to mention scary double digits in Drake and Grand Canyon

My grandmother's bridge club deserved a bid more that Oklahoma or Carolina

I think Indiana should have been in over UNC since UNC had a Quad 3 loss and Indiana had what 4 Quad 1 wins?

Mizzou is the only team to beat the Gators in Gainesville this year, they have a solid team but they got a very tough first round matchup.
Its really hard for me to tell. I think Mizzou will blow out Drake or lose a close one. Generally when Mizzou loses its because teams just drop a ton of points on them. That said, if Drake grinds the game down and makes it about things like FTs then its an early exit.

Honestly, its a tough bracket for Texas Tech. No way they make it to the E8.

UNC's AD is the CHAIR of the Committee.

Granted he wasn't in the room when they voted for UNC but still

They did a terrible job explaining how they chose UNC to pick

"UNC won 8 of it's last 11 games"

Wheee, they beat up Miami, NC State, Virginia Tech, Notre Dame. UC Irvine won 18 of it's last 24 and they get the NIT

The teams that missed out had horrible NET ratings.

UNC had a great NET rating. The committee talked about NET rating all season long. They never shut up about NET.
It would have been the 2nd best NET ever to miss.

Quad 1 wins are a way to help compute NET.
They are not actually a category in itself, but a data point to create a NET ranking. Same dorky coomputer shit as the (RPI) was for years.
I think the talking heads on TV and social media lost track of that part of Quad 1, and made it seem like Quad 1 was a standalone point.

Regardless We are talking about a freaking 11 seed play-in game. No good and truly worth team was kept out.
All the bubble teams kind of suck.

Oh, piss on the NET. The NET had Gonzaga raked #8 overall and they get an 8 seed. Saint Mary's was ranked 21st. Think Gonzaga should have got a higher seed? A #2 seed?

UC Irvine was 28-6 and played in a conference as weak as the ACC, if you took Duke out

I could just as easily see them losing in first round as going to the Sweet 16

I don't think any ACC team, other than Duke, will be around for the 2nd weekend. If Carolina wins its play in game, they'll lose to Ole Miss. No way Louisville gets past Auburn. And Clemson might have trouble with McNeese.

the last time Kansas was #6 or worse, they won it all in 1988 with Danny Manning and Larry Brown.

Florida being their 4th best team seems like a bunch of smart people trying to gaslight me.

It wouldn't be the biggest shock. Rock Chalk is still the team that started #1. The team that has already beaten a #1 seed (Duke), a #2 (Michigan State) and two #3's (Iowa State and Texas Tech). That west Regional is so brutal
