I think the league is throwing him a bone after screwing him out of Staley Cup Finals games last year.

Well Grabner has been inserted to the 1st line taking Parenteau's spot. So far with mixed results. The Islanders blew a 3-0 lead in their last game against Colorado. They had a 3-1 lead going into the 3rd. I think Vancouver has too much firepower. The only way the Islanders will have a chance is if they stay out of the penalty box.

i would agree if not for Vancouver inconsistency to start this season. they are also coming off a 6 game 2 week road trip and playing at home for their 4th game in 6 nights. I expect the Isles to be up by 2 goals in the first. we shall see

Ahh the dreaded 2 goal lead. Well considering the Canucks nearly came back from a 4 goal deficit against the Ducks & the Isles blew a 3 goal lead in their last game I like the Canucks chances.

No thanks. My team isn't worth betting on. They only have 1 line & their defense looks like the keystone cops at times. The three ring circus in goal has been ugly as well.

If Nabby lasts the whole game I'd consider it a win for the Islanders.

No. I passed on Center Ice this year. I need to see some moves made by the Isles front office & some improvement on the ice. Once that happens I'll buy in. They haven't made the playoffs since 2007 & even then they were the 8th seed.

I have no problem being patient. I want them to be good for the long haul. I don't want a quick fix. It's been tried & they failed miserably.

it was not an elbow, and Smith Pelley didn't miss a shift.

puck I dont know if you still have this one pvr'ed but about mid first period Smith-Pelley drilled Hodgsons head into the boards with one of those swinging punch/"hits" from the side a good 2 seconds after the puck had been shot across ice ... unpenalized
