I've had a concussion before when I was a teenager, it sucks.

I was in the back seat of a car that got into an accident, and I fell out the door, but was sill half in the car.

I think I tried to hold on to the door, and opened it when I was being jerked around? I fell out backwards and bounced my head off the road. Then I was dragged on my back for about 100 yards or so before the car stopped.

The cops thought I was on drugs, and didn't know I had a concussion, along with other things from the accident. I guess they were being assholes and wanted to take me with them instead of my friends getting me to a hospital?

All I know is that I remembered everything right before the accident, and then sitting in a hospital bed with people just looking at me. I lost about an hour of memory, it was weird. I felt like Scott Bakula in Quantum Leap.

Concussions are no joke.

I had one very, very young. 7 or 8? Wasn't sport related either, I think I fell off monkey bars while hanging upside down. Gained consciousness in the hospital. I just remember being slightly dizzy at first and then periodically getting woozy for like 2 days. Then it was gone, never dealt with anything since. And I have taken some nasty hits. But I think falling on your head, with your head 4 feet from the ground is a little worse then body contact. Lucky I didnt break my neck now that I look back.

Ah, mine was a skiing related injury. Went off a jump, landed on a patch of ice, smacked my head on the ground. When I came to my buddy that was a good 30 seconds behind me was now halfway down the mountain. I don't remember a whole lot from that night except that I was really nauseous afterwards. Took a few days to feel even remotely normal.
