I like this site. If the Rangers don't start hitting soon, however, I could see it going to hell quickly!

You could be right. I visit the Mets site from time to time and there is one guy over there doing all the posting:) I feel sorry so drop a few posts. I don't think that would happen here though. If the Ranger season goes to pot in a hurry, the loyal fans will keep it going with talking off season moves/trades etc. Plus we would all commiserate here:) Plus someone just needs to put a discussion thread out there named "Fire RW" and we should get weeks out of that one. The defenders and supporters of RW would both post there until they get blisters on their fingers.

For me? The Texas Rangers season is going a bit better than I anticipated. When I saw JD fill the loss of MY, Hammy and Napoli with Berkman, AAA types and AJ I figured that was his subtle way of telling the fans paying attention that 2013 was a "placeholder" season. He filled with placeholder type players to include when Harrison when on the long-term DL. I guess when Greinke fell through and he went to the LADs, the plan B to get another starter with Lewis still on the DL was not attractive to him and his long term goals.

So three out from first, and the LAAs a chunk behind is not a bad place to be right now. I don't believe in luck, but the A's seem to have whatever you call it. You would expect a team like the late 90s Yankees with their talent to be playing the way the A's are playing. But the A's don't have that kind of talent. Can't explain it but they "have it." How long they keep "it" don't know but baseball is an unforgiving sport and when the "it" goes away it will be a hard fall.

LOL at your "pity posts" on the Mets board. Very nice of you.

I was really being facetious when I suggested that this site will go to hell if we don't start winning some games soon. I know that there are a lot of good Rangers fans who post here and who will continue to post regardless of when or if we climb out of the current slump.

Personally, however, I am optimistic that we will start winning again. Hopefully we get back on track in Cleveland this weekend, but I still won't give up on the season, even if we get swept. We have enough players to continue to contend, in my opinion.
