The #Broncos offensive line has needed to be retooled for quite some time. Even this season, the unit has had its ups and downs... but they are playing better this season. How do they stack compared against the rest of the league though? Is offensive line problems more than just a BRONCO issue but rather a league issue?

Is The Denver Broncos Offensive Line As Bad As 'They' Say?

We had no Tackles or Guards last year. This year we have 1 of each, can’t change everything all in 1 year.

Yes. It is. Paradis is good. Leary is decent. Bolles is decent. Watson is hit or miss. Barbre is hit or miss. Garcia is bad. After that, pick which Just A Guy still left standing you would want to sub in, but they are JAG's.

When is the last time we had a good O-Line? I wouldn't count the PFM years. PFM made O-lines looks so much better than they were that if they had been a good unit then they would have looked like world beaters.

Yes, I know that we actually were world beaters with PFM, don't be a smart ass.

2008 was a great year for OL play for the Broncos. Ryan Harris was in his prime and Ryan Clady was a top-3 LT in the league. I think between the two of them they only gave up 3 sacks on the year.

I think the pass blocking has improved a small amount but they aren’t getting the credit for it because of the bad QB play. At the same time some of that bad QB play was a result of bad O-line play. Hard to pinpoint where the fault is but it’s a collective failure either way.

OTOH the run blocking has been good to great this year, a marked improvement over last season. Considering they couldn’t run or pass block last year but can at least do run blocking this year I can’t help but believe we’re seeing an acceptable level of improvement in at least one element of their game. Perhaps another upgrade on the unit this off season and some continuity for most of the unit from one year to the next and we may have a functional line next year.

Watson is horse shit.
Garcia is goose shit.
Barbre needs a good cut.
Bolles, Leary and Paradis get to stay on the island.
