It started in 2015-2016 season when we started hearing about Curry being the face of the NBA, arguably dethroning LeBron as the best player in the league with that historic, out of this world regular season performance. But then, he was exposed in the playoffs, and some said because of his injury. And LeBron proved that he was still the best of today.

This season, with the addition of a top 3 player in Kevin Durant to his team, taking a backseat, becoming the second option for his team (most of the time), and then not winning the Finals MVP again. Obviously he's still in his prime, but do you think Curry is still a top 5 player?

It sounds like an easy "yes" at first.

But if the league were re-drafted every single year... I'm not sure that he's one of the first 5 off the board. I could see him going anywhere from 4 to 8.

LeBron, Durant, Kawhi, Westbrook, Harden, Curry, Davis, George, Paul

No chance

A Nothing defender that couldnt be the aplha on a team full of average players

Lebron
Durant
Westbrook
Harden
Leonard
Davis

Im actually a believer that Klay Thompson has more ability to be the alpha on an average team due to his all around play

IS he a top 5 player?

Probably, although if he was #6 or #7 on lists, that is fine as well. It is not as crystal clear as 2 years ago.

Would you draft him in a top 5 dispersal draft?

No, as he is turning 30 before the next playoff run.
Father time is undefeated and small perimeter players burn out quicker than simply being big.
I would look at younger guys like the Greek, Wall, George, Davis

I Would take him over Westbrook and Harden every time. Just about every basketball person would agree. Curry might be the easiest star to play alongside since Magic and Bird. That aspect of his game cannot be overlooked.

Just ask KD who of the 3 he prefers to play with. It is a really easy answer.

The only reason someone might consider the other 2 would be if you had no other talent on the roster, and needed that player to do everything.

I guess its really how you are evaluating it

Do i think Steph Curry is carrying that OKC roster to the playoffs like Westbrook did?

No i dont

Do i think Curry is leading Houston to the success they had this season with Harden?

No i dont

Do I think Curry is the better "fit" as you mentioned within a really good team concept, than the other guys?

Yeah I could see that
