35 bench press reps, freak athlete, same height and build and weight as Vernon.

Didn't run at the combine which might hurt him a bit.

From what I saw watching UGA he splits out a lot and is not the blocker that VD is. Similar receiving ability though.

Not quite the straight line speed or bulk. Not as good of a blocker, although Vernon had question marks in that area coming out. Charles is a more fluid/smooth athlete though, IMO.

He's unquestionably the best TE in this class.

Bottom of the 1st or top of the 2nd?

What do you think his 40 time is, 4.5?

35 reps is more than Davis did (33) and Davis was a gym rat coming out of college.
If he does become like Vernon, could you imagine having 2 Vernons on the field at the same time?
A real headache for the defense.

With our offense more conducive to running the ball and double TE sets, I would prefer we draft a complimentary TE like Fleener as opposed to the someone that mimics VD and DW...someone who is a big target but more of a sure handed safety valve.

If we were to take Charles, then I would probably flip the offense. I'd line up VD and Charles at TE, but my number 1 FA WR would be Colston (I know the draft and FA are in the opposite order) whom I'm not a big fan of for us right now.

Basically I would look for a WR with a similar skill set to Crabtree (good with the short yardage routes and capable to stretch the field at times) and couple that with big polay TEs. Let our WRs move the chains and run the short stuff while the TEs get down field and make the big plays.
