Is Nebraska Basketball on a Historical Upswing?

I have no facts to back this, but with the latest recruiting news combined with our youth and talent... And then you factor in the fact that we have the top facilities in the country, the national coach of the year and the best fanbase and arena in college basketball... Are we looking at the most sudden rise of a top tier basketball program in the history of this sport?

I'm staying grounded.

It would be nice to know how the late Jan/Feb team would have done in Nov/Dec against Umass, Cretin, Cincy etc. Granted they had some big home wins and that big road win against a depleted Mich St, but they had their asses handed to them a few times as well, even late.

I'm not as high on the center they picked up as the rest of you. His past few years look like an uneventful wiff for a 4 star.

I still think the program grows, just not as fast or as high as others expect.

need to see more than 1 year of making the tourney. need to see more than 2 years too. need to see some tournament wins. if they are a good team in say 3 years after shields and petteway are gone, then I'd consider it.

I don't know that this kid is truly a B1G center. He's not that tall. But an extra body with long arms and athleticism cant hurt.
