Is Miami or Philly the 2015 version of Tampa Bay?

Though they will certainly be better than 2/14 history seems to dictate you can't buy wins by churning your roster in free agency.

I could see it especially since we traded away a known commodity in Foles.

I don't think he was ever going to be anything special, but the way the defense was shaping up he probably could have done a better Eli Manning impersonation and won a superbowl or two. Either Chip is a genius and somehow pull it all together, or he'll be back with his precious Ducks in a year or two. (Or Texas or whatever the rumor is nowadays.)

I don't think Philly is at risk. Bradford and Sanchez are good enough to prevent a collapse. Miami if Tannehill went down would be interesting. Cleveland is far and away the favorite for the 1:1 next year, imo.

Pretty obvious the answer is Jacksonville. They're throwing money all over the place and have brought in quite a few free agent names and paid big bucks. They'll be drafting #1 overall next year.

Cleveland will suck but their not throwing around money which is what OP was referring to

Indeed. I just disagree with the OP's premise, entirely. Which is why I brought up Cleveland.
My premise is not that Miami or Philly will be at the bottom. My premise is that it is rare that a team becomes a contender by making huge changes in free agency

This is true, but Philly did go out and get Jevon Kearse and Terrel Ownes and make the superbowl that same year.

Granted they had a much more stable roster otherwise.

I doubt they will be a contender this year, but I'm not sure if anything other than an amazing draft would have made them a contender if they had stood pat anyways.
