Call it homer glasses, call it what you will, I still dont think the hit on Miller was that big of a deal. Clearly Tootoo got what he got due to pressure from above Shanahan. Has nothing to do with bias towards the Bruins or Lucic.

I think that Tootoo got a suspension becuase it happened to Miller right when he came back. The NHL felt that it had to make an example of him even though the Lucic hit was worse (not saying suspendable, just more blatant).

Tootoo has gotten away with his fair share so I say it all evens out in the end.

I think the complaints (which I understand) from the Sabres helped Tootoo get the suspension. Of the two hits I think Lucic's was by far the more serious.

The checks from behind on Spacek and Allen were both worthy of game suspensions IMO. That's a dangerous hit and it's obvious Lucic is going to keep doing it. Give him a game and at least make him think about it.
