Is it too late for the Lions to trade up to draft Watkins?

I read an article on him today and while I know most rookies say all the right things now. I really liked what I read about him. When asked what he expected of himself, after the Bills traded up to draft him -- his response was, something along the lines of -- He needs to work harder than everyone else to show the team they didn't make a mistake moving up to draft him and if that means being the 1st one to practice and the last one to leave, than so be it.

They also talked about how he took time out to go up to the hospital to visit with Jim Kelly and talk to him about what it is like being a Buffalo Bill. Seems like he is really a high quality person and I can see why the Lions had an interest in him.

Wonder if the Bills would be interested in trading him to the Lions. Detroit has a TE that can't be covered one on one, they can have LeShoure and we could throw in a draft pick too for next year.

Actually, as much as I didn't want them to trade up for a WR, when Ebron was brought up before the draft, I said I would rather they move up for Watkins than draft a TE.

I don't see how a marginal team trading away it's 1st round draft pick the following year for a WR can be considered a steal.

Sometimes you just have to take chances on guys you really like. Plus, I'm sure Buffalo doesn't plan on picking high again next year.
