That look was the result of a poor penalty on special teams though I thought. I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure it was a special teams penalty.

Either way, our backups beyond our first three, if they can stay healthy are pretty damn piss poor. We will see how Alford does. He looks incredibly fast, but he doesn't look very elusive to me. Which means he may be fast, but his ability and quicks may not be top shelf. I have no idea on that, it is just an observation when watching him run his reverse, make a catch or try to return a punt. He is fast with good hands, but he just seems like an easy tackle.

I'm pretty sure that that was the book on the guy..... Rare speed, suspect quickness.

Gio was taken before Eddie Lacy and Le'veon Bell in the 2nd rd of 2013 draft. They're lucky (it looks like) they hit big on Hill the next year or the Gio pick would be under a lot more scrutiny. With that said I like Gio and think he could be really effective in a pass first offense. This team isn't a match for his skillset

Lets not forget most thought that was a reach for Bell. He wasn't nearly that agile or good at MSU.
