Is Cousins Top 5 QB In NFL?

I mean at this point he is easily in the top 10 but is he top 5 this season?

Brady, Mahomes, Brees, Cousins, Goff, Matt Ryan, Stafford, Wentz, Aaron Rodgers, Russel Wilson

this is your top 10. Where does Cousins fall?

I say around 6. I'd put him above Stafford, Wilson, Ryan, and Wentz

I don't have him top 5, but I dont I'd struggle to name 10 I would take over him.

This will be a critical year for Cousins. He had a great game yesterday, but he had many of those with the Redskins. The legitimate knock on Cousins has been consistency and occasional boneheaded turnovers in crucial situations. So we need to let the season play out to see if he is outgrowing these issues or will this be the QB he is. If he does prove to be more consistent, then yes, he will be a top QB. If he cannot get past his historic weaknesses, then he will go down as a pretty good QB, but not elite.

I wouldn't put Mahommy, Wentz or Goff ahead of Cousins. Mahommes has looked great but it's only his 5th game. I remember a guy buy the name of Prescott who was the toast of his town after his first five games,,, now he's just toast. Wentz and Goff,,, great last year and better team around. I mean Foles led that team to a SB and Goff has a stellar cast. KC hasn't missed a game in his career I believe. Durable,, great deep passer... great on touch throws. The heart and will to win. Granted he has had crucial mistakes which knocks him from the elite ranks ( 3 elite qbs) but he is def right at top 5 in league

did anyone see that pass to Thielen when he was backed up on his 3 yard line and had pressure in his face and was hit?

That was a sweet pass on Thielen's TD, but A) He wasn't backed up on his 3 yd line, he was at the Vikings 3 yd ln B) While it kinda looked like it. I don't think anyone was in Kirk's face nor did he have pressure.

Kirk has made some impressive throws this year, very impressive. Throws I don't think he makes last year. I think he's juicin.

1) Luck is insanely overrated. He has been his entire career. Cousins is definitely better
2) I'm not talking about the TD pass. I'm talking about a 2nd half pass when he was at his own 3 and had pressure in his face and was hit he threw like a 30-40 yard pass right in Thielens bread basket. One of the best throws I've seen all season. Should have also been a roughing the passer 15 yards tacked on as the player hit Cousins in the helmet.

Unlike Carr or Cousins or any other young/semi-young QB you can name sans Russell Wilson. Luck has 3 double digit win seasons been to the playoffs multiple times and has won a playoff game. And of all the young/semi-young QBs in the game now. Luck is the one who's had the least amount of help.

An argument can be made that Robert Mathis and Dwight Freeny are 1 of if not the best pass rushing tandems of all time.

Reggie Wayne and TY Hilton are pretty good receivers. Better than any receiver Cousins ever played with... Also played with a younger Garcon

Running game? I'd take Frank Gore, future HOFer, over any RB Cousins has ever played with.

Luck is really overrated, this isnt an unpopular opinion either

Kirk is probably the most wholesome player in the entire league. Hes basically tim tebow. I doubt hes doing PEDs people dont do that until after they get hurt.... which btw cousins is never hurt despite shitty oline play.

Do you know how naive you sound? People don't do PEDs till they get hurt. C'mon now.

A few years ago, 2015, Kirk wouldn't have been able to make that throw period. Hell, he would short-arm passes from inside an opponents red-zone if he was rushed, unable to step into his pass. Now he's just chucking ropes 30 yards downfield with nothing, but arm.
