Looking back, that is one of the most hypocritical statements ever. Many people forget, or are unaware of, the fact that UNC tried to keep VT out of the ACC. That's where a lot of the anger comes from passionate VT fans. I hope they get crushed.

You should go post this on either the free scout or rivals unc board, under the title "Lets talk about dirty recruiting, shall we?" or "my the times they are a changing".

Could they use this logic (not a lawyer here so I dont know) to get access to his personal records:

Since the court ordered UNC to provide call logs for all business phones, could they use that logic to get his personal phone records?

Evan, it is my understanding that any phone used for business-related activities can be subject for searches, etc. Now, I'm no lawyer, but that is my understanding.
Also, here is a big question I have. If Butch did not use his school-issued phone to make or receive ANY phone calls, how did this pass by the school's compliance department? I mean, he HAS to make phone calls to reach recruits and whatnot. To me, that is an obvious sign that something shady was going on and goes far beyond "Failure to Monitor."

Some people in the know about the UNC investigation are saying that the NOA may not come for another 2 months or so, and that there are some recruiting violations that are coming to light.

For those of you that are interested in UNC's recruiting violations, word is that there will be a separate investigation looking into their recruiting. Shouldn't be too hard to nail them with something between Marvin Austin and Landon Turner's stepdad all of a sudden finding a job near Chapel Hill. I'm guessing there's a LOT of dirt in their recruiting.
