WOW!! I knew something was going to happen at some point, but didn't expect it this soon.

I read on another site that Dudley said the Thrashers were going to possibly go the RFA route for a top 6 forward. Should be an interesting summer that's for sure.

Here's my realignment suggestion:

Atlanta becomes Winnipeg, moves to the NW division.
To make room in the NW divison, move Vancouver to the Pacific Division.
Dallas moves out of the Pacific and either goes to the Central division, or the Southeast division.
If Dallas goes to the Central, move Nashville or Columbus to the Southeast.

EDIT: This would give the best chance for Calgary to win their division and make the playoffs

from a geographical perspective ... Vancouver is closer to Calgary and Edmonton than the closest team in your redefined pacific division (San Jose) ... yah it sucks that dallas is in the Pacific ... rename them the southwest division

In my opinion, Switch Carolina and Chicago. I guess I could live with the rest. I'll hate losing the division rivalry with Buffalo but those divisions do make sense. And I agree, switch Colorado and Vancouver.
