I don't see it. In the first video, Nick is already committed to the man and just tried to hold him up for a second. There was only the one forechecker because the rest of the opposition was changing. And you can also hear pierre say that Nicklas has been out there for awhile and should be trying to get off.

In the 2nd vid, the first backchecker (cleary) went to the puck and Nick made the right move (as usual) to cover the trailer, who had ideas of crashing the net.

The 3rd video just pretty much shows that somebody isn't worth 9 million fucking dollars....

But, yes we do protect players in a similar fashion. Those just weren't the best examples, imo.

Not so much in the playoffs though, when the smartest/fastest play should be made most of the time.

Was just going to say, maybe those weren't the best examples, but the point was Babcock protects certain players.

In the playoffs however, the player who has taken less hits is more healthy and therefore quicker and able to make the play, esp. for a somewhat smaller player with injuries in the past like green has had.

One thing I like about Babcock is that he is pretty good at knowing when to ease up on the gas pedal or put it to the floor. We have always put high emphasis on the first 20 games, so the stamina chess game usually begins a little before the all star break.

BB really doesn't do that, probably the reason behind lack of playoff success. From what I get, every game is basically treated the same.

You guys play a more balls out, faster game than compared to our puck control offense. It's probably harder to tighten the reigns on them, imo.
