Truly awesome group. Billy Cobham, Stanley Clarcke, Herby Hancock, Chick Corea + all those guitarists. Sorry for the spelling, been a long time since put that music on. Absolute masters of instrumental progressive rock. Zappa deserves a mention.

Went to like 15 of their concerts, if you include the branching out. Watched the full group, then concerts of individuals and sub-groups. Return to Forever was a fountain of great musicians.

Went to like 15 of their concerts, if you include the branching out. Watched the full group, then concerts of individuals and sub-groups. Return to Forever was a fountain of great musicians.

I've seen them 3 times...and each time they were part of a jazz festival lineup.
Twice, in the mid & late 70's....also once in the mid 80's which was an all acoustic performance.
They flawlessly ran thru most of their catalogue in each show. Tremendous.
