Injury situations around the NFL

Some big news for alot of teams:

Rams C Scott Wells will be placed on IR with a fractured foot.

Falcons CB Brent Grimes ruptured his Achilles tendon and is out for the year. He was their franchise player this year.

Fred Jackson suffered a sprained MCL and is out "at least" a month. His MRI was inconclusive and the doctors will not know for 7-10 days what is exactly wrong.

Bills also lost WR David Nelson to a torn ACL. Ends his season.

John Skelton has a low ankle sprain. Initially the team feared it might be a high ankle sprain. They are unsure when he'll be back.

Darrelle Revis sustained a mild concussion and will be further evaluated this week but they expect him to play this week against Pittsburgh.

Pierre Garcon had x-rays on his foot and they were negative. He "hopes" to play this week.

Jake Locker suffered a partially separated LEFT shoulder. He says he's going to play this week.

Rashad Jennings needed an MRI on his knee and the Jags are awaiting his results this afternoon.

Jeremy Maclin has been diagnosed with a right hip flexor.

Broncos DT Ty Warren re-tore his triceps last night and is likely out for the year.

Redskins 7th-round pick from this year, S Jordan Bernstine, has been diagnosed with a torn ACL, MCL, and PCL. He's out for the season.

Cowboys FS Gerald Sensabaugh missed today's practice and is likely to be questionable to start the week.

Russell Okung suffered a bone bruise in his left knee but it's "likely" he'll be available this week.

That knee is tore up. He's got a long road to recovery. Just missing a Patella Tendon and he could dislocate everything at will.

I had that injury along with a dislocated patella and torn meniscus. I have never recovered 12 years later. 3 surgeries and countless trips for physical therapy.

Washington got hit fairly hard today it looks like. Adam Carriker is expected to undergo surgery on his knee after "seriously injuring it" on the second play of the game today. He's not expected back "any time soon" and will have an MRI tomorrow to determine the severity of the injury. Shanahan said it "doesn't look good." Brian Orakpo might be out "for a significant stretch of time" after re-injuring the same shoulder/pectoral muscle that required surgery in the offseason. CB Josh Wilson left in the 2nd half with a concussion.

Jets FB John Conner aggravated his previously injured sprained MCL and will have an MRI tomorrow. (49ers will be at the Jets in two weeks).

Pete Carroll said after the game that Zach Miller "barely" made it through the game with a foot injury.

The Giants believe David Diehl sprained his MCL and a source told USA Today that he did not damage his ACL.

Steven Jackson suffered a groin injury today.

You know Ray, I actually changed my team name to "The Injured" this year. I am in a 16th team league and with all of my injured starters I am playing backups at 4 positions. At least I still have Rogers and QB, I just hope he starts to go off soon. two wide outs, running back and tight end.

As if the Lions’ depth problems in the defensive backfield weren’t bad enough.

Cornerback Drayton Florence suffered an injury to his lower right arm in the second half of Sunday’s 27-19 loss to the San Francisco 49ers that coach Jim Schwartz said today “potentially could” have long-term ramifications.

“He got some preliminary (x-rays done) at the stadium,” Schwartz said. “He’s going to have some more stuff. It doesn’t look real good, but we’ll see.”

In addition to suffering damage to his MCL, Eagles C Jason Kelce will need his ACL repaired after having it scoped on Tuesday. The Eagles have placed him on injured reserve. Dallas Reynolds takes over. They have lost two starting OL for the season now.
