Initially, I thought Rutgers would be an easy win

After watching some of that Ohio State game, I am a little worried.

Nebraska gets a road win over a team(Northwestern) that have been nail biters every year. Now, Nebraska gets to go back to Lincoln for some home cooking. Rutgers is still looking for their statement game in the B1G. Beating Michigan sort of counts later on in history.

Rutgers lost to a sort of good team in Penn State and lost to a good team in Ohio State.

Nebraska might just get that over confident feel again.

In theory, Nebraska should be somewhere between the two and the point spread will reflect it, probably near 20 points. I am sure the spreads are already out.

The next two games, Rutgers and Purdue, are two teams that Nebraska should dominate, especially in Lincoln. I hope it is true.

Based on talent alone, we should win by 17-21. That is all that I will comment on.

I'm curious if anyone else thinks the last two games offensive troubles weren't due to the natural grass and wet conditions. This offense is based on speed and cutting, Ameer and receivers can't do that as well in the slick natural grass they had in the last 2 games.

I mean that whole first half of that NW game, I just saying to myself that Ameer looked slowed and kinda unsure of himself in cuts. There were times I saw holes and he was just late getting to them.

also, you hear that comment just after half about our team using molded cleats on the grass. Now maybe they make better molded cleats than I'm use to, but the spiked cleats always seemed to work better in the wet grass than molded cleats.

We started at 15 point favorites and moved to 17.5 point favorites

depends with our typical slow starts will give an opposing team confidence.

Rutgers is ok team but the way we have been playing it will be alot closer than it should be.

now if we come out fast and ready to do work then then knights will be in trouble.

I thought Ameer looked a step slower than at the beginning of the year. Especially on his big run. He just couldn't ever break away like he was running in mud.

Rutgers is usually pretty good up front. Not sure what happened to them against Ohio St on Saturday. They did get down 2 TD's in a hurry.

I just don't pencil in any easy wins anymore.

We always get everyone's best shot and while we have superior talent at our skill positions, we are young and growing on the OL.

Part of the problem may be some of the second string offensive linemen were on the bench against Michigan State, and when they may be better than some of the first stringers, that could certainly be a detriment!

yea, that 2nd string thing was just plain dumb. those guys are the clear #1s and should be getting their first starts this week.

I'm going to the game this week. So, hopefully it's going to be good for us.

I didn't watch a ton of the OSU/Rutgers game but they made some errors that I hadn't really seen in their previous games which certainly helped OSU.

If Beck and Tommy can play like the 2nd half against NW, then I think the 15-17point line is accurate, however if we play like the 1st half, it's going to be a dog fight.

oh, and i guess we'll see if being back on turf makes a difference for these guys. expect to see Ameer go off and show more cutting ability which was there in the first 5 all on turf and not there in the past 2 on grass.
