Here we go... We need to start winning series if we're going to stay in contention...

I'm lowering my lofty goals for Paxton tonight... Instead of hoping for 6 innings, 3 or less runs from him like his last start, i'm hoping for 5 innings / 4 or less runs tonight... That would be a win, in my shoes w/ the way our staff has been pitching...

Yeah no kidding. Paxton on the hill tonight has an interesting feeling to it- On one hand it would be very encouraging to see him pitch well not to mention give the M's the chance at a much needed win. On the other he pitched like a pure turd last game so its hard to imagine him pitching well, but honestly how could it be worse.

I seem to remember instances where starters in our past couldn't even get out of the first inning. Thank goodness it didn't come down to that!
