Rodney rollercoaster is an understatement.

Almost starting to wonder if he tries to almost blow the save.

Fuck Rodney. You shoot the arrow after that type of performance? He's done. Anybody could do what he does right now. Worst closer in the league and the only reason he has a job is, ironically enough, he has 2+ runs cushions to work with on his save opportunities.

I'm happy that the Mariners won, but Rodney's little celebration is a tad ridiculous at this point. He nearly blew this game

Done defending him. It almost boggles my mind that his save rate is as high as it is.

i wish this board had been around in 94 and 95. Would've been endlessly entertaining.

Aside from Rodney,

How about Walker tonight?

2 hits, no walks 8 innings and 8 strikeouts. Terrific performance by him

This site make me feel so young. The closer I get to 30, the more I feel like I'm a few days away from a retirement home.

That's what's saving him right now. I don't blame McClendon for sticking with him because he isn't losing games (because he's a lucky ass mother fucker) but I'm sure Lloyd knows there's an issue there and is waiting for a couple of more blown saves to demote his ass.

Walker has been considerably better at home. It's an understatement to say we need him to get going with the Paxton news.

Exactly. Somehow he has one of the best save rates in the majors since coming to the Mariners. It's astonishing that he is 14 for 16 in save opportunities despite having a 7.08 ERA.

I actually didn't even notice how much better he has been at home until looking at his splits. Before this game, he had a 3.31 ERA at Safeco in comparison to a 9.79 ERA on the road. Wow.

Great to see Walker get the win. It wasn't like he was pitching bad. He'd make a bunch of great pitches in an AB and then just hang one. All he has to do is bear down and not cave in. The guy's just nasty. It's about putting it together upstairs and being a pitcher and not a thrower.

Great for Walker now he needs to feed off this start and string some together. Rodney; Bobby Ayala 20 years later. The more things change...

the radio commentator had stated that Walker did not throw three balls on any count against any hitter last night. That's how dominating his performance was
