Good thing I'm a passive NFL fan then... have you noticed that more and more quarterbacks are able to use their legs to make plays in the league these days? Even the NFL is beginning to include elements of the spread, especially in the passing game.

Pfff... Like who? Rodgers has been the #2 rusher behind Vick the last couple years. He's a pocket passer. Vick is regularly banged up. Making plays now and then with your feet from a pro-style offensive set is a little different than basing your entire offense on the spread-option. Alabama plays sort of a pro-style offense. Something wrong with what their doing? Should they recruit a pistol QB?

Wasn't implying that at all, just commenting that the game is changing. Cam Newton will be a threat with his legs, as will RG3, Rodgers, Tebow (when he starts again), Smith/Kaepernick, and even guise like Andy Dalton. If you think it's a temporary shift, you're not paying attention.
