Wade and Oden both ruled out and I am torn.

I would love to see MIA beat IND with out wade but I want MIA in the 2 seed so losing this game is almost a must.

I hear what you're saying about wanting the 2 seed, but the thing is, seeds 3 - 7 are still in flux. It would suck to have Miami lose the 1 seed, and then see Chicago move up to 3 and Brooklyn fall to 6.

Chicago and Toronto are tied right now. Toronto has the tiebreaker as a division leader, but all Chicago has to do is win 1 more game than them in the last 4.

The Nets are looking good 3 games in front of Charlotte and Washington, but both Charlotte and Washington own the tiebreaker over the nets, so its not out of the realm of possibility one of them could pull it off.

The Knicks, still fighting for the playoffs, will have a lot to say about these other races, they play Toronto twice, Chicago once, and Brooklyn once.

Miami has to win this game.

It might be better to have the #2 seed, but the HEAT still need to win this one game.
They can always tank down the stretch and take the #2 seed if that is what they want....

But, this is the game they have to win regardless of seeding pathways.

The Pacers are clinging to the belief that they can beat Miami.
That is all they have left of fading confidence.

A loss tonight and the Pacers completely unravel.
A win tonight and the Pacers will regain a ton of their swagger back.

Miami would be stupid to let the Pacers rise from the dead.
They need to step on Indiana and crush whatever spirit is left.

I agree with the psychological reasons behind the win despite me thinking they are overstated.

@Gordon I did not see that the 2-3 race got so close.

Reading that Shaun Livingston will be the only player not available tonight for the Nets, but don't be surprised if J. Kidd makes sure that his starters will get some rest.

A win by ATL tonight pretty much sews up the 8th spot.

Kidd should rest starters because there's basically no chance they catch Bulls or Toronto and no chance they get passed by the Cats or Wiz

Wade is not just resting, his injury is more serious than people want to believe.

Yeah, there are some indications that it might take well into the playoffs for Wade to come back.

I don't know what to believe anymore...but it looks far more serious than just resting.

Are you serious? This game isn't on national tv? What is the NBA thinking? That's why I need to leave this shithole city of Sacramento and go home to my league pass.

Looks like I have to go hit a bar.

I really think this is Wade's last year.

Also Haslem starting at Center, this is going be interesting. I read an article where he breaks down how he plays and the dude is a really solid post defender. I think he is the answer against Hibbert.

PO starting 5:

1 Rio
2 Wade? Allen? Who knows?
3 LBJ
4 Bosh
5 Haslem

Obviously they will give up a ton of inside size but Haslem plays much bigger.
