You might not get posters there everyday, but if there's something you want to say about the team for posterity's sake (or anything like that), do it! It won't get lost in a weeklong thread if it's important enough for ya.

No since in me gong to the Lions board as they have had 2 posts there in the last year.

Just gotta get more fans to see that there's some activity there. Pretty much like I was saying to black francis. If you start putting a thought or observation there now-and-again other fans (Lions or no) will see it and chime in eventually.

Moving forward, the Message Board component from CBSSports.com -- which includes all off-topic boards, user-created blogs, threads, private messages and favorites -- is no longer featured on the site. Additionally, the user profile and avatar will also be removed; however, users will still be able to log in using their current CBS Member ID and password to post on stories, blogs, game trackers, team and player pages as well as using Facebook or Twitter accounts.

The current Livefyre commenting system -- found on stories, blogs, game trackers, team and player pages permitting users to log in using CBS Member IDs or Facebook and Twitter accounts -- will remain.

We try to keep our users informed of improvements, but we felt the upgrades we were working on and wanted to implement did not meet the Community’s needs. We made the decision to start over by removing the message boards.

That's exactly what it sounds like. They've had people frequenting their site up to 10 years and they just pull the plug? That's cutthroat. Which is their right, I guess. I just hope their sites loses a ton of hits. Never liked going over there to get info anyway, to be honest. Not the message board, just the whole site.
