Anthony Carter To Sign With Toronto

The Raptors will sign veteran point guard Anthony Carter.

Carter finished the 10-11 season with the Knicks after being included in the Carmelo Anthony trade, but had been with the Nuggets since 2006.

Wow! One possibility of this is that BC is going to use the amnesty on Calderon and have Blayless run the point.

Is that guy still with the team? I can't remember hearing much about him.

Anyways, that could be a big move if it happens. Blayless might get 30+ minutes a game if that happens. I really don't like this new guy, but he could be the reason we let baldy go. It's an interesting move for sure.


That, or BC is just getting a third PG in case of injury and this means nothing at all, and I'm looking into it way too much.

Yeah, unfortunately I think you might be reading too much into this MDP. Just a third string PG reminiscent of Martin or Marcus Banks. Carter was part of Orlando's championship run, but I couldn't stand the guy every time he stepped onto the court. I guess having someone to back up Jose and Jerryd in case of injuries is better than nothing?

BC has signed Aaron Gray, Jamaal Magloire, Anthony Carter all to one-year deals so they are pretty much like loaner players for us to tank this season and hopefully get douby brows in the summer
