If Mark Sanchez starts for the Broncos in the 2016 season and the Broncos become the first team to win two Super Bowls in a row with different QBs - will Mark Sanchez be expected to retire - as is the tradition after a Super Bowl win in Denver?

My answer? - Yes - let's get the Sanchez era over with.

I don't know why, but I'm kind of hoping they at least let him compete for the starting job even if we do land Kaepernick.

Not sure what the Jets were thinking here .. With that said, it is a miracle Sanchez was in two AFC Championship games with this team and staff

It honestly is considering both head coaches he has been under have been considered major busts as head coaches. I am interested to see how he looks in a Kubiak system. We have seen no name QB's or QB's considered huge busts do really well in his system. Might surprise some people if he is the starter.

I don't know if I'd consider Rex Ryan a major bust, but he's definitely not a QB coach. As for Kelly the jury is still out. I think he's going to be a bust. He got the Eagles two 10-6 seasons before the bottom fell out this year. I think the 49ers are in for an ugly ugly season. Think about Kelly's system and why it worked so well in college. A roster of over 100 players ranging from 18-23 years old playing at most 14 games in a season. Compare that to a game day roster of 48 players ranging from 22 through their mid-30s playing that same style for 16 regular season games. It takes its toll. Guys can't keep that pace up, especially being hit by other pro players. Not to mention it doesn't take long for a good DC to find a way to stop you in the NFL where in college a good program can simply just outrun you.

Now with Sanchez I was not thrilled with the signing when the deal was made but assumed he was brought in as depth and later figured him to be a piece to set up the trade for Kap. And that may still be the case. But I've also warmed to the idea of him starting in this system. He's in as good a situation as he's ever been since his arrival in the NFL. He can get us 3300-3500 passing yards, no question. He can get us 20+ TDs. The single biggest question is can he limit fumbles (especially those involving the posteriors of his teammates) and INTs. And that's where the system and talent around him come in. A good run game and as talented a WR group as there is in the NFL can help him develop a "live to fight on another play" mentality and not force things.

You now - sitting here thinking the Broncos can repeat as Super Bowl champions - seems pretty credible to me.

1) The run game will be better
2) The offense will be better
3) The defense did not degrade at anywhere near the rate the offense got better.
4) The Broncos figure to have guys already on the team who can step up as replacement cogs in defense.
5) 10 Draft picks to contribute
6) The defense gets better by not being on the field as often as last year.
7) Kubiak's 2nd year and no arguments over what kind of system to run.
8) Wade Phillips is coming back.
