Coaches contribute on the field. Coaches make the player in some cases. GM's contribute on the field because of the players and coaches they select. Jerry will get in but it shouldn't be about him as the business man who generates profits for him and the league, but about him the GM. Though are his credentials as a GM really that defining? Perhaps so. Who knows. Bottom line: it means nothing to me if, actually when, he get's put into the shrine but I think as a GM his record for choosing players isn't remotely close to that of a Bobby Beathered, and namesakes of like. Does Jerry scout the college games and put forth traveling scouring the country for great players... or just what he see's on TV or heres from his associates.

Look, I understand he will eventually get in; I just don't think by owning the franchise as profitable as he has been around the league... worthy of a hall pass to the greatest honor giving to that of the game.
Do coaches run, block or pass? GM's give those coaches the players to win, owners shape the league. Yes there should be a place in the Hall for owners and GMs.

You're missing my point. No coaches don't run or pass but they contribute on the field in other ways. They scheme to benefit and utilize each and every player to excell at their position. Gibbs is a prime example. A coach who got everything he could out of Qb's who none will make the hall, but he put them in position to win. As ive stated, coaches and GM's contribute on the field with their expertise to the game. Owners are about the business, and I think the reason for his consideration is because of his business prowess. I dont think the hall should be about those making money, but rather memories. Jerry should be considered for the hall as a GM. I just dont think he has excelled at the position. I believe the real architect to your 90's success was Jimmy and not so much Jerry. I could be wrong being that I didnt follow your team back then and maybe Jerry deserves all the credit. As an outsider it appears Jerry has done more harm than good as GM. Just my take and Ill end it with that.

For the record and to show im not trolling is that Snyder has done more harm as owner then Jerry the GM will ever do.

Jerry has only been around for 27 years but he has helped shape the league as an owner more than any other owner since George Halas.
George was a great owner and I'm not taking anything away from him at all.

Look at how Jerry helped the league grow not just the Cowboys and if you cant see his contributions your blind.

Jerry the Gm vs Jerry the Owner are always going to be debated long after Jerry is singing with the Angels. But the Impact he has had on the NFL cannot be debated its in black on the ledger and that's undisputable.

Jerry does it his own way like it or hate it that's just Jerry.

JMHO other may and will vary

You're missing my point. GM's who build teams that win, giving the coaches a road to the HOF should also have a HOF road to travel on, owners who influence the leagues betterment should be recognized.

I never considered Jerry, to be GM, when Jimmy or Bill were here.
