I'm starting to think the AFC North is the best division in football

Really? It had nothing to do with the Cards D. They just choked?

That's just what some people say instead off giving credit for a comeback.

Yea. I guess the cowboys almost choked. The Saints just weren't good enough to take advantage.

Hard to gauge which team is better with the season being so young. I've always thought highly of the Bengals. From top to bottom they probably have one of if not the most talented teams in the league. Only issue I have with them is Dalton.

1 td 6 ints in the playoffs and have been bounced each time despite arguably having the more talented team in some of those games. We'll see how he does in the playoffs this year. But until he proves otherwise, there will be doubters and rightfully so

The Ravens have been surprisingly good. The addition of Steve Smith have added some toughness to that offense. They've been missing that ever since they traded away Boldin for nothing.

Steelers look decent, but to say that they are better than the 49ers is quite a reach. I don't even think Steelers fans would say they are better.

Browns have a solid defense with a question mark offense. Kinda sound like the Rams

All in all who really cares which division is superior. If you asked me I would rather be in the weakest division there is! This isn't the BCS. Who cares if the Cards have looked mediocre going 3-0. I'd rather play bad and be 3-0 then play great and have a losing record.

Much respect to the Bengals and Ravens if they are truly as good as their record and point differential indicates...but they are the AFC's problem not ours

Ravens & Bengals look like 2 of the top 4 teams in the AFC while the Steelers can easily win 9 or 10 games with their schedule and make the WC.

Cleveland isn't as bad as they used to be. I see 6 or 7 wins for them.

Thoughts?
Sorry ,I stopped reading after that 'I starting to think' beginning post. Good for a laugh anyway.

4 catches, 63 yards, 1 explosive play, and 1 td? Green clearly won the battle

Stats, stats, stats, stats, stats.

What else is there to go by? Is there something else? Team result is meaningless because the match-up was 3 years ago. Green & Dalton were rookies while Wilson was not in the league yet. However the Seattle had Kam, Earl, and Sherm.

They play next year anyway.

The tape. How much of that production was one on one with Sherm? That's what you said you wanted to see, right? Or did you just see the box score? stats, stats, stats, stats.

Sherm was a rookie that year. That was his first game.

If you have tape of that game you can mail it to me? I will send you my address as I would love to analyze the 1 on 1 match-up

Yeah you clearly did not watch game. Green was targeted 10 times and was completed 4 times. Of his 63 yards 43 of them came on a long bomb where he beat Brandon Browner and then Earl Thomas...not Sherman.

3 of 9 targets for 20 yards outside of that

Sherman has been checking top guys ever since his rookie year. The only one that has his number really is Brandon Marshall.

Green was a rookie that year also....And that wasn't Sherm first game.

Sherman played in 4 previous games so it was actually his 5th game.

Why analyze it when you could just lookup old stats and say who won which matchup?

Sherm was a rookie too. That was his first game.

So how do you explain Sherman picking up tackles in 4 previous games if that was his first game?

Both guys were rookies and both are much better now than they were then

Match-up seem pretty even based on the stats. Sherm had an int on what looked like a poorly thrown ball by Dalton as he under threw Green big time.

Yeah. Its only kind of impressive since it wasn't a perfectly thrown ball. Because, you know how many of those get intercepted...

This thread makes me a laugh.

Sure, Cincy looks like the best team in the AFC at the moment, but the rest of that division is nothing to brag about. Both the Ravens & Steelers are mediocre. Their only saving grace is that they play the AFC/NFC south this year along with playing each other, so that may inflate their records enough for one of those 2 teams get in as a WC.

Winning games against SD, SF, & NYG on the road with a backup QB is better than winning games against Pit, Cle, & Car.
