This is starting to be more than just a coincidence... He gave up another first shot goal, then was given a 2 goal cushion, and still lost the game.

Granted, the Pens' didn't sustain for the entire time and Fleury made some great saves. But still, he left a lot of space open in the net for opportunities that were missed by Tampa.

I'm finally starting to get tired of watching him flail around on the ice like a fish.

I think I'd be able to cut him even more slack than I already do if he wasn't such a flaky guy off of the ice. I used to think he just needed to be into the game to really focus. Like I said though, he was soooo far out of position so many times tonight and got lucky. Johnson seems to be able to play "positional" goaltender better than Fleury right now. Johnny would not be able to make some of the saves that Fleury does, but I'm starting to wonder if Fleury just isn't putting himself in the right spots to make those saves easier... Its a problem I think.

I think he only has a few career shutouts...

Thanks Honus...Well, it just might be time for a change. Kipper was struggling a couple of years ago and got a new coach (former Flames goalie Jamie 'Noodles' McLellan) and he really turned things around. Bobby Lou also has a new goaltending coach this season in Rollie 'The Goalie' Melanson.

Just throwing that out there as food for thought.

I'm not a Fleury hater, just a Fleury concerner....

But why are people so surprised by his early goals? I have been saying this for years now. hhis first shot he faced ever in teh NHL he let in, and this trend of early goals has continued. I'm not sure if you ppl know who Dave Molinari (post-gazette penguin beat writer), I wrote to him over the years expressing this. Either he didn't notice or didn't believe me, well because he said it wasn't true.

Why do you think I started that thread a week before the season on the Penguin board... or why do you think I posted the question in the GNT tonight before he let the goal... because it has been a trait of his since day one, but no one ever acknowledged it, and I was honeslty dumbfounded that no one did... I am happy other ppl are starting to notice... but this is nothing new... ppl shouldn't be surprised or act like it's something new... it's not.

Noodles is Kipper's coach now? Better order some titanium chest protectors for Franzen and Homer...
