We lose to the Bucs next week. Coming out of the bye McCoy gets thrashed by the Patriots defense, by week 10 Voldemort is starting. By week 12 he has had his 3rd knee shattering experience, and Kirk finishes out the season to secure Gruden getting fired.

I'm fine with that. I want KC to go, as well as Gruden and his conservative play-calling.

Not sure gruden is the right fit for the team scott wants to build. But at this point I don't know what to think anymore.

Im seriously to the point where i actually dont care any more. Im watching because its like a cell phone video of a 40 car pile up. You shouldnt watch because you know it ends in death, but you cant help but watch out of morbid curiosity. We shouyld just adopt the unoficial nick name of the DeadSkins as our new team name, and change the Chiefs head to that of a Zombie Native American.

Again we knew coming into the season there was a good chance the future starting QB wasn't on the team. We all had our favorite horse but they look more like Daisy than Secretariat.

To be fair to the entire team injuries are taking their toll on the team. If I was SM I would be concerned with the number of guys that don't have season ending injuries that can't find their way back on the field. Certainly it could be legit and I am not saying it isn't but we watched Julio Jones play on a bum leg two weeks ago. Maybe I am just too old school but used to be you weren't coming off the field unless you didn't have any other choice.

Totally different era. For starters - if any injury is head related the team & player basically have no choice but to wait quite a while - lawsuits and similar have mandated all of that. Beyond that money and long term success are also determining factors with other injuries. Teams want to ensure that players are totally healthy before returning them to the field. The thought process is that a player could do much more long term damage if he returns too early.

The days of "toughing it out" are long gone in today's high dollar NFL. To address your initial concern - I have a good feeling that SM may work through these issues by perhaps getting rid of some of the unreliable folks (over the offseason) who might just be too big of a risk at this time. He has already shown that he certainly is not a status quo type of guy.
