I just hope we use the Illinois game to make an effort to minimize penalties and turnovers. I don't care what the score is (as long as we win). I just think that type of mindset will serve us well going into the MSU game.

I do not think that is the Papuchis/Pelini plan. ever. Nebraska did not blitz Kaaya(maybe twice), even though he showed he could get rattled when pressure was applied.

Illinois has no rush offense, meaning no Duke Johnson to get past the blitz, so I have my fingers crossed.

In years prior we've had multiple position groups that showed weakness at this point, sometimes ludicrous speed type weaknesses, we have some issues brought to light this season but they've shown signs of improvement whereas previously we digress in those same apparent areas as the season goes forward.
Yes it is a trap game insofar as hindsight but I'm considering the Captains this year are actually doing captain type things and keeping teammates focused, you know like coaches should and whatnot

On paper Nebraska should win this game by 17 to 24 points, but if anyone is looking ahead to Sparty, it may be a long night for Nebraska. I'll say Nebraska by 13.
