supposedly the pirates expressed interest and the mets shot back with marte + lincoln for davis.


It's an interesting question. Davis would be a long-term solution at first base. 30 HR plus power in a park that should suit him pretty well. Good defender, already has a track record in the majors.

Saw a couple of tweets saying they want Marte and Lincoln.

I like Davis, but he is essentially Adam Laroche to me production wise long term. Although he probably won't have the slow starts, and general demeanor that Pirates fans hated about Adam.

I would like to get him. His power numbers would go up outside Citi Field but that seems a little steep of a return for him?

Now Pujols is in Anaheim they have two available 1B's.....and per reports Morales might get non-tendered.

Yeah so what's the deal with Morales? I know he was injured. Trumbo seems like the guy the Angels would want to keep (due to low price) so I'd imagine that he wouldn't be the right guy to target.

Not sure what's up with Morales, if he's healthy would be a good option. No thanks on Trumbo, .291 OBP doesn't bode well for long term succes.

I would prefer Davis to either Morales or Trumbo..... but according to Terry Collins, Davis is NOT on the block.

I am still interested in morales. If the pirates were to sign both morales and chen then i would respond with myy highest predicted wins total in a long time.
