What would you do? Personally, I would start by:
- Getting rid of these stupid fines for actually playing football. Clearly dangerous offenses should be fined, but as a percentage of that player's salary for that game. I wouldn't expect a 7th round rookie to be able to stomach a fine as a 1st rounder could.
- Remove dumb rules such as "process of the catch" and "the tuck".
- Change the way the NFL supports cancer causes. Guys are aware of breasts year-round, so why make the players wear pink? Just have a percentage of ticket sales go to research instead.
- Ban NFL owners/executives from using social media sites like Twitter.
- Have all the players sign a waiver saying that they acknowledge the dangers of football.
- Random drug testing throughout the year.
- Keep football in America. Nobody else in the world cares about our sport.
- No more games on Thursdays. Keep them on Sunday. Nobody gets excited for a Thursday night game.
- 4 Preseason Games, 16 regular season games, playoffs and the superbowl. Nothing more or less.
- Keep the Media out of the HOF voting. Players, coaches, scouts and GM's know the game better than anyone else. They should get the votes for who gets in.
