What would you do? Personally, I would start by:

- Getting rid of these stupid fines for actually playing football. Clearly dangerous offenses should be fined, but as a percentage of that player's salary for that game. I wouldn't expect a 7th round rookie to be able to stomach a fine as a 1st rounder could.
- Remove dumb rules such as "process of the catch" and "the tuck".
- Change the way the NFL supports cancer causes. Guys are aware of breasts year-round, so why make the players wear pink? Just have a percentage of ticket sales go to research instead.
- Ban NFL owners/executives from using social media sites like Twitter.
- Have all the players sign a waiver saying that they acknowledge the dangers of football.
- Random drug testing throughout the year.
- Keep football in America. Nobody else in the world cares about our sport.
- No more games on Thursdays. Keep them on Sunday. Nobody gets excited for a Thursday night game.
- 4 Preseason Games, 16 regular season games, playoffs and the superbowl. Nothing more or less.
- Keep the Media out of the HOF voting. Players, coaches, scouts and GM's know the game better than anyone else. They should get the votes for who gets in.

I'd make every team play outside. Including us. Kickoffs would be moved back to the 30, or maybe the 25. Every pass, would be fair game while in the air, enough pansie ass PI calls. No more outside the tackle-box intentional grounding. You want to pass, you throw to a receiver. One foot in bounds, it's just easier. Instant Replay.... Get the fuck outta here. Full-Time Refs, welcome to your new career. That's where I'd start. Equipment would be altered greatly, prolly. A lot less concussion issues when nobody has teeth.

I'd really like to see the current players play with the pre 1978 rules for a full season

I sure as shit do. It's great to know that a game will be played on Thursday night. I know it's prolly hell on players and teams, but there's plenty of fans that love watching football and having an extra night where there is a game makes it that much better.

Oh, and btw, it's a money making champion. B/c lots of fans love the idea, they all tune in no matter who is playing.

How can you not access a satellite via DirecTV to get Sunday ticket? You should be able to do that even if you live in an igloo. You can even get it to your phone or Ipad. Obviously you have internet so you can get the Sunday ticket. I couldn't live without it.

I agree with most everything here. I would like to add:

-I would like to add changing the defensive offside rule. Most irritating thing in football. Instead of all the horsecrap discussing whether he got back in time or caused an OL to move or was unabated, etc.. Just change it back to if he crosses the line he is offsides and the play is over. No free play, no 10 minute discussion about what did or did not happen.

-I am OK with going to 3 preseason games and 2 bye weeks for each team with 16 games still. the 3 preseason games can be 1 home, 1 away, and 1 neutral (instead of playing neutral games during the season). The neutral games are also a good way to test other markets (even in the US) without compromising the legitimacy of the standings during the regular season.

- Fines should be based on how dangerous a hit is and whether the player actually gets injured like they do in hockey. It seems as if they're trying to run Suh out of the league. That last one was absurd.
- The breast cancer thing is nothing but a money making scam for the NFL to sell more merchandise.
- No. Let NFL owners/executives make idiots of themselves if they choose.
- I'd bet my house that the NFL already has players sign some such waiver. That doesn't absolve team management and their medical staffs from malpractice by lying to players and telling them they're good to go when they know full well they are not. That was what the law suits were about and why the NFL settled if that's what this point is alluding to.
- Drug testing. They don't even test for HGH. Until they do all their drug testing is basically an IQ test. Only the morons get caught. Until they test for HGH drug testing is a joke.
- Mexico would be ok. So would Canada. But Europe ? That's ridiculous imo.
- They can play every night of the week and I'd be good with that. What the hell is wrong with you ? More days with NFL games is a bad thing ??? Seriously... and with all due respect.... what the hell is wrong with you ?
- Agree about the schedule
- On the fence about the media/HOF voting thing. Tend to agree though

Playing outside for everyone is just unrealistic, though I like the idea. I like instant replay and think that if you win a challenge you should get to keep it... no limit. Why penalize a team because the refs are having a bad day ? I like the rest.

Why go out of the country when there are places in the U.S that would like a team?

Old Lion, I was discussing the idea of taking a preseason game to markets that don't have them a few months back. I, Like you, can only see positives from doing so. Not even just to "test" other markets but even just to give them opportunities to see NFL football in their own backyard. The NFL could bid it out and would likely sellout every neutral site game.

Wow i really agree alot with most of this especially having the players sign a waiver, the process of the catch, the fines for playing football and players wearing pink. Very impressive because i have been thinking about how incredibly stupid most of his is. Oh and i was goin to say no games in london but you got that as well. I am strongl or all of this to be changed. The only thing i disagree with is players and execs not being able to use social networking. I feel that infringes upon their rights and its a great way for them to communicate with fans on an all new level. Also think that they should be punished if they do make inappropriate remarks about the NFL just as any other employee would suffer the consequences.

Outside games are awesome, theres way too many things that have turned the game into a pussy match and indoor games is just one more.

The reason for keeping the schedule the same is mostly to keep the players healthy and not reduce the level of quality with a bunch of 4th stringers to finish the year.

I like the idea of preseason games to be used to test differen area markets. I could see LA getting a team eventually. Maybe places like OKC or Virginia Beach.

I still think instant replay should be used occasionally, but not for every little thing.

I also think the NFLPA is extremely weak. They need to act so that all fines have set amounts for certain infractions i.e. Shoe colors shouldn't have different fine amounts.

How so? Is there a team further north than GB or further south than MIA?

I think it means that there are alot of Domes that would go to waste and Owners don't like losing money....The Owners like Jerry Jones wouldn't have any part of it......Thats a billion dollar stadium and there not going to just tear it down because fans from other teams want to see Dallas play out doors.
