If Winston is done, who do you want to face Bama in the title game?

To be fair, he was the highest paid player in college football that year. Auburn's payroll > Oregon's payroll

funny, because only one team from the Auburn / Oregon game was put on probation around this timeframe... and it wasn't Auburn.

auburn has a better team than michigan state and a better program than michigan state. they have more tradition and are historically better.

pick and choose whatever stats you want, we all know that's true.

if you really don't think LSU and Alabama were better teams than the other suitors back in 2011, you don't watch much football.

both of those defenses were FAR better than michigan state's defense this year.

Alright I will go by national championships and players drafted for the NFL.

LOL at Auburn having less national titles than a basketball school.

Ok so let me get this straight. If Winston is charged and is ineligible to play and FSU wins out and with ease that should move them down? Did they not do what was required of them? Win all of their games which is exactly what they need to do WITH Winston in the lineup to stay at #2. One man does not make a team. If you have watched any games since the Clemson game the Defense was making more plays than the offense. I.E. TOs. The Offense has played on such a short field 90% of the time. So punish the other 22 starters who worked just as hard as Winston because he is not there? Got it.

As we learned from from the recent NCAA investigation and sanctions, Oregon was paying their "speed" pretty well with lots of checks and gift bags from Uncle Phil.

But yes, those tSEC boys get some serious payola. I'm sure Uncle Phil took notes and will make sure to use "bagman" from now on, instead of the schools "books and materials" funds. That was a amateur move the tSEC boys would laugh at.

so just so we are clear... it is ohio state on probation right now, and auburn that has been clear of major violations for over 20 years... right?

Yeah they learned that from Alabama a few years ago. Just "donate" the money directly to the dad's church and all is good.

meh, i'd say recent history is more important. i don't think of yale, harvard, and princeton as the most successful programs of all-time because it has been so long since they've been good.

just like it has been over 20 years since auburn's last major violation. how long has it been for ohio state?

should be OSU.

I don't think baylor will get through the rest of their season unbeaten.

and I think bama has a fair shot at going down too.

Just because its been since the 90s does not erase auburns history of major violations

Wait, what?

Alabama a few years ago had a several seasons vacated for getting free books for their friends (and you know they got paid by their friends for them). Instead they should go the Auburn route of donating the money directly to the father's church. Sorry, I poorly worded it.

Yep, they were paid in gum and you have no proof otherwise. So there.
