Well, 'tis a good thing hockey season is starting. I have a friend from Souther California who got married and moved to Virginia, and she is now a raving Capitals fan. I mean, each time they lose, she wants to slit her wrists. She hasn't gone so far as to knock out a few of her teeth, but that may be next.

SO glad with the final 4 we have left in the playoffs.

Hoping for Milwaukee over Detroit now but any combo is ok. Not too psyched if StLouis wins it all, but they deserve it for knocking off the Phils.

The playoffs really are a crapshoot.

Congrats to the Rangers. Despite my previous post, I would be OK with the Rangers in the Series.

The Rangers have one hell of a lineup. Great hitters up and down, nice speed, plenty of power. Unless Verlander is lights out, I don't see how the Tigers beat them.

lol, sorry Tox, we just hear a lot of crap on the Disney board about the Giants being flukes from the Phillie fans.

Halladay is actually my favorite pitcher in the game. Used to love it when he'd mow down the Yankees and Red Sox playing for the lowly Blue Jays. Poor guy deserved better.

Initially, this looks pretty bad, I will admit. There is a long history on this board, and the ESPN Giants' board with a certain poster, who has multiple screen names, one of the latest has been Mozart's Ghost.

Most of the posting here is insightful and playful and irreverent, but we do tend to cross to the dark side once in a while, especially with ongoing "issues". Don't take this one too seriously.

I used to think you guys were a little obsessed a too hard on the guy, but he has been a regular on the MLB forum lately and he really is a pointless prick, this board really does stand out and needs to be protected from that type.

They looked stoppable last night...baseball is such a unique game that way. No matter how good or bad you are, on any day anyone can beat anyone. It's why they need 162 games to see who's good, and why the playoffs are basically a crapshoot of luck and momentum.

I don't think anyone had that prediction.

I actually want St Louis to win...yes Texas never has, but I hate Texas. ANd they just won the NBA title so whatever.

Also, LaRussa's an ass but not as much as Nolan Ryan.

Frankly I don't like either team, so I guess I want the NL to win. Cards squeaked in like we did last year, it's fun when teams like that win and not juggernauts like the Phils.
