While the thread is obviously trolling, I don't have a dog in this race but do have a serious question.

How would you compare Russell Wilson's performance today in the face of adversity to that of Kaepernick in their losses?

Wilson was in the passing game garbage. End of day he led Seattle's O down the field to score the critical first TD to get us back in the game... but he did it with his legs which is kind of mixed for me. QBs are supposed to throw. That said the line was beat up going against the #1 D-Line in the NFL.

Either way, defense won us this game. 10 points generated by the D and held Houston from getting an easy 7 (4 point savings) after Lynch fumbled at our 20.

Offense got us back in it... but to say that Wilson or the O did anything substantial to win this game is absurd. D won it pure and simple. And I could care less about yards/game. Elite Ds force turnovers and stop scoring. And they completely shut down Houston 2nd half on multiple key drives.

Seattle's D is the whole reason they are 4-0 right now. That's great that Wilson beat up on an inept Jacksonville team.. but overall he's been shaky this year. I wouldn't call it a sophomore 'slump' yet, but if he plays crappy against Indy then it will start coming up I think.

It becomes very obvious which one has the heart of a winner.

Yup and I for one will be watching with much interest. One thing the Texans have going for them when they play the 49ers, is that the 49ers secondary is their weal link on defense.

Yah 49ers secondary is not Seattle's. 49ers also IMO do not have the killer turnover mentality that Seattle does. Seattle reminds me of Chicago/Baltimore from not too far back. TURNOVER ON EVERY play. Just the way they deflect passes... you can tell they are doing it to let Seattle get the pick. They are not happy with batting balls down, because Seattle's D is all paying attention to any batted ball... and each of them know it.

I'm hoping Houston is PISSED and they blow San Fran outta the water, but who knows.

Wilson's tenacity today reminded me of Steve McNair's determination to never, never, never, never stop and to do whatever it takes to win.

Kaepernick? Not so much.

I don't think the Niners will be able to cover both the run and pass. Kaep is going to get mauled, if the Niners do not shift extra protection there. Houston is a very good offensive and defensive team. Very balanced. It will be a very tough game for both teams. Niners will have 10 days off and we just showed how to beat the Texans and they are at home. Can't wait to watch that game.

RW know's or just does not get panicked compared to Kaep,i dunno what it is but there is just this vibe with the guy that anything can happen, there just is not many people like that out there.

Wilson struggled early with the lack of pass blocking up front and it showed. He did settle down and once they started rolling him out of the pocket he started getting things going. I think he made good decisions most of the time and wasn't too timid to run it when that's what the defense gave him.

In both losses Kaepernick looked like he struggled with his reads and often bailed after only one or two reads through his progression and for whatever reason he didn't run nearly as often as he does on games they win.

This was not Wilson's finest day, but he did manage the game well in the second half and his running alone was a big part of that come from behind win. He did have some key throws as well, but he won that game with his legs and that's huge for them moving forward.

Kaepernick looked much more poised against the Rams and wasn't as timid about running when the pocket collapsed. He does seem like you can get in his head and throw his rhythm off and I haven't seen him get rattled and recover in the same game yet. Wilson doesn't seem to suffer from that same problem. He never gives up.

Just my opinion.

Difference is if you put your heals down on SF and rattle Kaepernick he won't be able to turn things around like Wilson did IMO. If you let him get going and they build a lead it will be a blood bath.

RW is about as calm and composed a leader you'll ever see. He's a leader, while Kaep bends under pressure.

krapernick has the #1 OL in the league, Wilson's was dead last this game. Yet krapper still gets flustered in the pocket when he has 10 seconds to throw.

You mean like in the second half of the Super Bowl? :wtf:

Delusion city. I know you guys are pumped or drunk OR both but let's not act like the season has been decided just yet.

Geez, how quickly people forget that Kaepernick was the Niners QB when they came back against ATL in the NFC Championship Game. He was also the Niners QB in the Super Bowl in a great comeback attempt that fell just short.
