If NFL teams could recruit college players, who would be the best teams?

No draft, just sign when they are a senior or junior. Parity would be horrible, but it would be fun for the big market teams lol.

Would there still be a salary cap? Either way I vote Dallas. Followed by Washington and San Diego. (I have no idea why every FA doesn't want to play in SD)

I think Miami and New Orleans have to fall into that same category wouldn't you think of places players would love to live?

Now for actual good recruiting coaches and GM's I would think the Broncos John Elway has to be up there. The guy is a legend that many of these youngsters grew up watching so they would be taken by his popularity and legend. Heck he was able to convince Peyton Manning to come play for him.

Carroll would probably be up there as well since he has the college experience of recruiting and seems like the type of personality that would be attractive to a young player coming into the league. Plus Seattle is a pretty happening place for the young ones.

Whatever team immediately moved to LA after the rule change would be a contender every year once they changed the rule.

I think the Patriots would do very well. The entire organization does a great job not only evaluating talent, but developing it as well.

I personally think Miami is a ratnest, but yeah, they prolly would. Warm climate, party atmosphere, glitz, glamor, the whole nine yards. LA would be another high profile destination, but...

Miami would attract a certain type of player you are right. Each of the major markets offer a little different atmosphere so each group would probably get a different type and set of players. I would say it would also change the whole atmosphere of what teams look for in a coach. In college I think many of the coaches are more recruiter than coach half the time. Some of these hard nose impersonal coaches would find it hard to make it in this league if this all happened.

Miami and Atlanta would dominate. Dallas and Houston would be right there. Those markets produce a crazy amount of NFL talent. If the SoCal people rallied around San Diego, they could be a dynasty as well.

Green Bay, and some of the other small, cold markets would be hurting, I think.

Green Bay did land the first and best FA signee of all time...... Reggie White. But I'd imagine for the most part you'd be right. FLA, TX, CA and other warm weather guys probably would pass on cold climates about as much as they do at the college levels.

Owner, Management, GM, coaching...trickle down effect...the Owner is a moron and keeps hiring the wrong management who in turn fuck up everything they have to do and so on. Eli refused to play there based on what his dad said of the organization when he played there iirc. Or maybe Eli is just a homophobe, I am thinking of San Francisco huh?

Maybe he doesn't like the sound of Spanish? Or the Pacific? Im sitting here right now freezing my ass off wondering why I don't live in San Diego. (I meant FA's in all sports, SD is my personal favorite professional sports city that I've visited.)

Not sure why Spanish would bother them in San Diego as we all know it is actually German for a "Whale's Vagina", discovered in 1904.

Also I am sure that San Diego and San Fran and any city not located in the Mid west from Denver to basically NY are a lot better.

I am from MI and I live in Mexico now and it gets cold for winters and I voice my opinion on the weather and people always respond with "but you are from the states or Michigan", "yeah but I don't live there do I?" Long story short, cold weather sucks.

@OP I think Seattle would be good, Pete Carroll was a great recruiter in college I am sure he still is.

I still think money would trump everything else.

It always does.
