Any chance the Sox go after Shin-Soo Choo or Granderson? Or are they already set on JBj?

My impression is that they'll give Bradley 1st shot at CF. Which, BTW is what Victorino played most often with the Phillies.

True, I figured anyway with JBj.

Correct. They'll likely bring in a mid-range FA (or trade) outfielder as a back-up plan - and for ST competition.

There is no way they get a top FA...

I would love to see Beltran in a Sox uni, but only if he moved to LF. He's clearly lost a step or two and I can't see him doing well at all in RF at Fenway. Victorino's done an excellent job.

It seems like they are trying to decide between Beltran or Napoli for the middle of the order bat. I'm not sure if they can get both.... Unless they trade Gomes... It might come down to who accepts the two-year deal first...

If they can, that's great, but I'd rather have Napoli. The Nava-Gomes platoon worked out pretty well.

Choo is useless in CF he can't track balls. Granderson is an option

Choo's terrible in CF. But his bat kind of makes up for that.

There was never a chance that Boras was gonna let him sign with the Red Sox unless they over payed him huge.

Reports are he has joined the Yankees which is no surprise.

No chance I as a GM would have offered what the Yankees did for him.

Time to move to Bradley

21 mill per for 7 years.

Glad he is gone. He is not even remotely worth that kinda cash.

Els may be one of the few Sox players I won't hate on for joining the Skanks. No way in hell was he getting those years and cash in Boston. He had to do whats right for himself.

True and I long ago gave up on any type of player loyalty. He went for the most money he could find. I am just glad the Sox did not pay that kinda cash for the guy.

Good but not great player. Certainly not worthy of 21 per

I'm glad they didn't sign him to that kind of money, but they aren't nearly as good in the outfield as they were this past season. I really thought by letting Ellsbury walk they needed to get a guy like Beltran, the rest of the Free Agent Outfielders don't really impress me. As of right now trading for Kemp or Stanton if he's available would be their best Outfield options.
