Was bank fishing Saturday night at Branched Oak and just have to .

About 10:00 PM some idiot is racing his boat through the marina gate (in a no wake zone) and raising a bunch of hell. He turns around and throttles up back through the gate screaming at the top of his lungs. He runs close enough to shore to go over the top of our lines acting all stupid. 30 seconds later we heard him crash his speed boat into a sail bot out in the middle of the lake.

Sank the sail boat, throwing everyone into the water. 6 people injured with one needing a life flight into Omaha.

It was some stupid ass 19 year old kid, operating daddy's boat while intoxicated. He had a DUI on his record already.

It is not hard to raise kids to make the right decisions in life. His parents should be prosecuted right along his dumb ass.

I hope that person who needed a life flight survives and beats the living shit out of that kid.

I don't have any kids, but I doubt it's really easy to raise them to never do anything stupid when they are 19. Since the idiot already has a DUI, throw the book at the dumb fuck, but I can't see prosecuting the parents for anything......We can all call them dumb fuck bad parents, but that's about it....

Shame people get stupid like that. Hopefully everyone recovers, the kid is held accountable, and learns a valuable lesson.

They did a great job refurbishing Branched Oak a few years ago after it had silted in.

There's still some nice walleye in there.

Sound like to me the mother and father need to be spayed and neutered and be forced to pay for all the medical bills for everyone injured. That dumbshit needs to be neutered and put in prison for 20 years.

this sort of thing is no joke. people seem to think that once they are "out at the lake" they are invincible and can do anything. i had a good friend from high school whose dad was killed in a boating accident. the operator of the boat that hit them was drunk. that was a big wake up call because i had been to that lake and i know exactly where it happened...scary.

I own a fishing boat and have nearly come to blows with idiots many times. These are proly the same shits that drive stupid on our streets. A mexican cut me off at the boat dock at Lake Manawa a few years ago and karma was a bitch because he forgot to raise his boat motor and drug it on the concrete road for a city block.
